A Perfect Suffolk Country Wedding

I have been really looking forward to featuring this beautiful wedding which was held very close to home for me in early July. After a week of dire weather warnings which included both gales and floods, it was amazing that Becky and Ali were lucky to avoid both, with the menacing black clouds appearing to apparently stall as they approached over the horizon.

If I had to plan a wedding for my own daughter, I would do something very close to this fabulous day, which could be described as the quintessential Suffolk country wedding. Becky’s parents had done an amazing job, with the garden of their beautiful cream painted Georgian house looking stunning despite all the recent rain. The day was full of lovely touches echoing the country theme, including fabulously beautiful but natural flowers, Suffolk Punch horses and of course the essential family hounds! Becky was a lovely bride and the wedding was attended by a coterie of stylish and fun guests, both young and old! I love that moment when the bride walks down the stairs for the last time as a single woman, looking beautiful in her wedding gown.

You know if it’s going to be a great fun wedding as soon as the guests start to arrive…… the top picture shows the arrival of the friends who would later jump onto the stage and form the fantastic band for the evening celebrations.
